FOR the third year running, Brickfields Asia College (BAC) A-Level students have received the prestigious Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award for excellent results in the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) series.

Express Route student Audrey Siew Sze Yen scored the highest marks in the world for A-Level Law and Economics in the November 2014 exams, while Standard Route students Leow Ho Eng and Teh Zhuo Li scored the highest marks in the world for AS-Level Law and AS-Level Business Studies respectively.

Since 2010, BAC students have been awarded the Top in the World Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards (formerly Cambridge Brilliance Awards) for Law and Business Studies four times, with three consecutive wins in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

BAC chief executive officer Murali Kandasamy said, “The awards are a testament to the ability of our students to compete and excel at national and international levels. We are extremely proud of the achievements of our latest Cambridge A-Level award winners”.

The Cambridge GCE A-Level Programme is one of the pre-university programmes offered at BAC. The A-Level Express Route is unique to BAC – this programme, coupled with the UK Transfer Degree Programme (Law or Business) – allows students to graduate up to two years earlier than their peers on the standard 18-month or 24-month route.

The CIE A-Level is the ideal pre-university programme for students yet to decide on a specific tertiary education path because it leads to a broad range of programmes. Students looking to get a head start in their careers will find the BAC A-Level Express Route the perfect option. Coupled with BAC’s UK Transfer Degree Programme in Law or Business, students will be able to graduate up to two years ahead of their peers, making BAC the fastest and smartest way to over 100 UK Law and Business degrees.

Students can also opt for the BAC Foundation in Arts Programme. It has been designed and developed to allow students to proceed to a wide range of undergraduate degrees and to provide a learning experience strongly focused on the development of academic skills and above all, fun.

The success of BAC students is attributed to its teaching faculty, which consists of highly qualified lecturers with significant teaching experience complemented by state-of-the-art facilities with over RM100mil invested in the new PJ campus, which include a comprehensive library and research centre, computer labs, moot court, the Rock Academy music school and the Monster Fit fitness centre.

To make tertiary education more accessible, the BAC Education Fund awards Merit Scholarships and Financial Aid Scholarships based on academic excellence and financial need. BAC has also collaborated with MAPCU and Sin Chew Education Funds to provide more options for students.

BAC is open every day, Monday to Friday (10am to 9pm) and Saturday and Sunday (10am to 5pm). The April intake is underway and students who sign up will receive free books and study materials.
