Giving cheerleading a boost
Find out which brands are supporting the Malaysian cheerleading community this year at CHEER 2015!
AS if the jaw- dropping cheerleading stunts and non- stop entertainment weren’t enough, spectators at CHEER 2015 will now also get a healthy dose of free goodies.
Every year at CHEER, a whole bunch of generous companies do their part to support the local cheerleading community by sponsoring products to the cheerleaders and their fans.
Yogood, for example, will be giving away its delicious muesli bars at the CHEER 2015 finals on Aug 15, 8am- 6pm, at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre!
Yogood muesli bars, originally from Austria, are a simple yet nutritious snack for those constantly on the go – perfect for the cheerleaders, who will be training incredibly hard throughout the Malaysian cheer season.
“The snack is less than 100 calories and good for cheerleaders who may want something light to fill their stomachs before and after they’ve performed,” said Jess Tai, senior marketing executive of Shyan Trading ( M) Sdn Bhd, which owns the Yogood brand.
Five flavours of the yoghurt coated muesli bars – Wildberry, Cranberry Mango, Blueberry Cranberry, Peach Mango Green Tea and Strawberry – will be given out at CHEER 2015.
While it’s Yogood’s first time at CHEER, it will be Momoe’s 11th year supporting the event! They’ve been sponsoring products from its fashion brand, Momoe.
Managing director Angela Yap has followed the sport all these years, particularly during the years when her nieces competed at CHEER!
This year, the company will be sponsoring Momoe bags as prizes for the cheerleaders.
“If those who receive the bags are from the Co- Ed division ( for mixed- gender teams), then I guess the boys will have to pass the bags to their girlfriends,” she said with a laugh.
Another brand returning to CHEER this year is Perskindol.
Zuellig Pharma Sdn Bhd will sponsor 2,000 sachets of Perskindol, which helps relieve muscle and joint pain after sports.
Attendees will also get to sample both
Perskindol Classic and Perskindol Cool in one sample box worth RM5 each. The Classic range is more suitable for chronic pain, while the Cool range is for acute pain.
The products are made from natural ingredients, including six essential oils, and have been in the market for over ten years.
“The products are perfect for the event as our target market includes sports enthusiasts,” said Zuellig Pharma Sdn Bhd product executive Teh Shane Yang.
“But you don’t have to use it only when in pain. You can use it when warming up before sports and after to reduce cramps.”
