Century Battery banks on quality C

-

ENTURY Motolite Battery, the exclusive distributor of Century batteries here in Malaysia, has been hard at work to ensure that its quality products are readily accessible to consumers. The most recent product was the company’s unveiling of its Specially Designed For Continental vehicles ( SDFC) range of maintenance- free batteries.

“It costs a little more than our top selling Marathoner range of batteries, but it also provides more in terms of build quality and performance,” said Century Motolite Battery general manager Suresh Nanoo.

Although Nanoo says that its Marathoner batteries are still the company’s top seller, the more expensive SDFC battery – launched in April, has received strong demand.

“People who purchase these batteries want quality for their continental vehicle, and in simple terms - that’s what we’re giving.”

In terms of performance, the SDFC battery rates higher in terms of Ampere hours ( Ah), Reserve Capacity ( RC) and Cold Crank Amperes ( CCA).

The amount of Ah a battery has indicates the amount of energy charge stored in a battery, while the RC gives an estimated number of minutes a car can be driven without the alternator.

As for the battery’s CCA rating ( readings taken at - 18 Celsius determines its ratings), it is about the battery’s ability to power up the car’s many electrical systems and subsequently engages the starter motor to start the engine.

“Warm countries are good for batteries because the heat helps the electrons move better and with a better performing battery, there’s less hassle and time wasted in replacing a dead battery or one that’s about to,” Nanoo said.

In addition to the company’s latest product, the company now features robots as part of its package branding, but more importantly is its ongoing quarterly SMS lucky draw contest till March 2016.

New battery owners will stand a chance to win RM500 by inputting the details which must include the word “CENTURY”, as well as the vehicle registration details, dealer code and battery type before sending a SMS to 33310.
