BELLERBYS College again surpassed the UK national’s average when 2014 A- Levels results were released. Students from Malaysia, like before, did well.

Students are able to take internships at local British hospitals, and the course also prepares them for the UKCAT and BMAT medical admissions tests.

Bellerbys College’s Sales and Marketing Director of Student Recruitment Marnie Watson said Malaysian students have a strong work ethic and take advantage of the small class sizes and individual tuition.

Most students from Malaysia start the A- Levels programme in January or April after finishing SPM exams.

They complete the entire programme in just one and a half years instead of the usual two years.

Bellerbys College is able to offer scholarships of 20%, 40% or 50% off the A- Levels tuition fees to Malaysian students with good academic grades or forecast results.

Many students from Malaysia choose to study a foundation course instead of A- Levels, which takes just nine months.

As Bellerbys College has more than 80 partner universities, students are able to enter a wide range of different universities and courses depending on their foundation score.

Bath is a popular choice with Malaysian foundation students for courses like Integrated Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Other popular UK universities include Lancaster, Bristol, Southampton, Birmingham, Leeds and York.

In fact, 80% of Bellerbys students across all programmes progressed to top 50 UK universities in 2014.

“Bellerbys College not only has more foundation partners than any other College, but also has the highest ranking university partners,” said Watson.

Bellerbys College has four campuses – Cambridge is a specialist centre for Science and Engineering; Oxford for Law, Arts and Humanities; London in Business; while Brighton, the largest campus, offers all subjects, plus the GCSE pathway programme for students as young as 13.

An enrichment programme allows students to explore their academic interests outside of the classroom and gives them even more chances of acceptance at competitive UK universities.

Bellerbys College will be at Penang and Johor Baru to meet potential students and provide scholarship interviews.

* Johor Baru – Grand Paragon Hotel, July 31, 11am to 3pm

* Penang – G- Hotel, Gurney, Aug 1, 11am to 3pm

A seminar titled “Your journey to Top UK Universities starts with us. Why study ALevel or Foundation in the UK” will start at 12.30pm and end 1.30pm. Seats are limited and registration is required.
