Choosing a reliable and superior source of krill oil

-

No fishy aftertaste or burps

Due to its water- soluble nature, krill oil immediately mixes with stomach fluids after intake, eliminating the fishy aftertaste and fishy burps.

However, omega- 3s bound to triglycerides is insoluble in water, floating atop stomach fluids, causing the fishy aftertaste.

Contains the most powerful antioxidant ever known – astaxanthin

Krill oil contains the natural antioxidant astaxanthin, which not only protects the EPA and DHA from degradation, but also provides valuable free radical protection for our body.

Astaxanthin comes from the microalgae krill feed on, giving krill and other animals that feed on the same algae such as salmon and lobster reddish- pink hues.

Free from contaminants, purer than fish oil

Most fish oils are harvested from large fishes that are highly contaminated with industrial pollutants and toxins.

Krill live in pristine waters free from environmental pollutants and being at the bottom of the food chain, do not accumulate toxins like heavy metals and dioxins.

Sustainable Eco- Harvesting Technology

The traditional way of harvesting krill is the trawling method.

Chances of the net bringing in undesired by- catches of other marine species are high, rendering the method ecologically unfriendly.

On the other hand, small krill are killed by their own weight in the net and krill contain digestive enzymes in their bodies that rapidly self- destruct during stress, causing the krill oil to be useless thereafter.

With the invention of a new harvesting technology called Eco- Harvesting, unwanted by- catch could be avoided.

Eco- Harvesting uses a direct hose connection mechanism to bring the krill fresh and alive on board the ship. This technology is an environmentally responsible choice that ensures the sustainability of krill and other marine species.

As the krill is processed freshly on board, enzymatic degradation could be prevented and key nutrients could be preserved, ensuring production of hig- quality krill oil.

MSC- certified fishery

Eco- Harvesting has obtained the Marine Stewardship Council ( MSC) certification that awards the handling of krill ( from harvesting to encapsulation) and the certification guarantees sustainability and full traceability of the krill oil from sea to shelf.
