Excelling in top schools in the UK

-

THE Abbey DLD Group of Colleges has an exceptional learning environment with four campuses in four different locations in the UK – London, Cambridge, Manchester and Birmingham.

All four colleges in the Abbey DLD Group are in the top 30 ranking of independent sixth form colleges.

In the recent publication of A- Level results, Abbey Cambridge achieved 82% grade AB pass rate.

The college once again celebrated superb A- Level results with three students heading to Oxbridge and four to medicine.

Abbey Cambridge has maintained a record of above 80% grade AB pass rate for the past 10 years.

“There are 340 students at the college from over 30 countries united in their ambition to enter one of the top universities in the UK.

“Together with our qualified, professional staff, we form a true learning community dedicated to outstanding achievement for all,” said Abbey Cambridge principal Dr Julian Davies.

One student, Nicholas Aaron Tam, achieved 5 A* in his A- Levels and is now reading Mathematics at the University of Cambridge, UK.

The British Government’s Office for Standards in Education ( Ofsted) inspects schools to make sure standards are being maintained.

“The Ofsted report is a good help to facilitate understanding of a school / college and is certainly a good reference,” said ASA Overseas Education Specialist senior operation manager Stanley Tan.

Ofsted carried out two inspections on Abbey College Cambridge over this past academic year.

Outstanding ranking

The first inspection for boarding and provision of student care was awarded the highest ranking of “Outstanding” in all five areas of social care.

Likewise, the School inspection was ranked “Outstanding” in all seven categories – a rare and amazing achievement reflecting Abbey Cambridge’s Vision for Excellence “To be a community energised by a love of learning and the pursuit of outstanding achievement for all”.

Few schools in the whole country receive such rating.

The other school commonly known in Malaysia is Concord College in Shrewsbury, UK.

The college’s forthcoming expansion is the pinnacle of its success with a new, purpose- built school designed in concert with nearby Homerton College ( part of the University of Cambridge).
