PROPERTY hunters looking for prime properties with attractive deals must make a date with the Star Property Fair 2016 to be held at Sunway Carnival Mall in Seberang Jaya, Penang, from tomorrow to Sunday.

The four- day event from 10am to 10pm daily will feature 13 major exhibitors showcasing their latest offerings, especially architectural gems in the northern and central regions.

Prepare to be dazzled by the masterpieces of IJM Land Bhd, BDB Land Sdn Bhd, Bandar Kepala Batas Sdn Bhd ( subsidiary of Hunza Properties Berhad), UDA Land ( North) Sdn Bhd, Ewein Zenith Sdn Bhd, MBI Desa Ku Sdn Bhd, Reka Indah Development ( Penang) Sdn Bhd, Bertam Properties Sdn Bhd and Tropicana Ivory Sdn Bhd.

Not to be left out are Tambun Indah Land Berhad, Aroma Development Sdn Bhd and Golden Sands Developments, UK.

Visitors are bound to be spoilt for choice with the plethora of properties ranging from luxurious landed to stunning high- rise residences, integrated developments as well as retail and office spaces.

Although the focus is primarily on properties in Penang, the fair will also feature developments in Kedah and the United Kingdom.

Ewein Zenith will be showcasing the exquisite City of Dreams ( COD), Penang’s new iconic landmark located at the prestigious Seri Tanjong Pinang ( Straits Quay), for the first time on the mainland.

Marketed by Zeon Properties Sdn Bhd, the project consists of stunning twin 38- storey towers housing 572 units of all sea- view luxury service apartments.

The allure of high living is further intensified by the presence of over 50 world- class amenities for all your lifestyle needs.

Purchasers stand a chance to drive home a Ferrari sports car in the special lucky draw for those who sign up for their dream home in this elite community.

East West One Horizon Plantation Berhad will also be on hand to promote its oil palm plantation- based interest scheme offering high fixed contractual returns of up to 88% over an investment duration of eight years.

The Star Property Fair has always been a resounding success.

Previous fairs, with the most recent one at Aman Central Mall, Alor Setar, in January, recorded brisk transactions despite worries about an economic slowdown and difficulty in obtaining housing loans.

Another highlight is the Spin & Win contest with prizes worth over RM50,000 up for grabs. The main prizes include four units of Samsung Galaxy A7, four Samsung Tab A 8.0, four Samsung Galaxy J2 and Parkson vouchers, one each to be won over the four days.

Other attractive prizes include Crabtree & Evelyn, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs and Salvatore Ferragamo products.

To participate, simply purchase a copy of The Star, cut out the contest coupon, fill in your personal particulars, answer a simple question correctly and redeem it for a spin on the wheel.

Visitors who sign up for properties during the fair will get 10 spins at the wheel! So do make a wise investment and be rewarded in the process.

The fair with its ‘ one- stop shop’ opportunity is indeed a good place to start your property hunt.

Check out the showcase of stunning properties, especially developments in Penang, all under one roof.

According to the Malaysia Commercial Real Estate Investment Sentiment Survey 2016, Penang has now overtaken the Klang Valley as the most attractive place for property investment.

Penang has dislodged Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle as the top investment choice by garnering 67% of the overall responses while the Golden Triangle slipped to fourth position with 49%, finishing behind KL Fringe/ Klang Valley ( 56%) and Johor/ Iskandar ( 55%).

Penang added another feather to its cap when George Town was picked as the sixth “Best place to retire abroad in 2016” by CNN Money and as the second “Best place in the world to retire” by travel magazine Condé Nast Traveller.

Five developers will undertake RM4.33bil in property projects in Penang this year despite a challenging time for the property market.

The mostly residential properties will be priced between RM480,000 and RM3.3mil.

However, Real Estate & Housing Developers Association ( Penang) chairman Datuk Jerry Chan said there would be fewer launches this year due to the difficulties in obtaining bridging and end- financing loans from banks.

Long regarded as the best hedge against inflation, the property sector will always triumph.

Despite the high prices, investors remain upbeat because demand for property continues to outstrip supply many times over.

Penang in particular will foresee a further upside in the property market given its land scarcity and various ongoing infrastructure developments towards a better quality of life.

Over on the mainland, five developers will implement RM1.378bil worth of projects in Seberang Prai.

The lower land prices here will provide them the flexibility to build quality and innovative homes at very attractive selling prices.

The projects include Tambun Indah Land’s Pearl Tropika, Pearl Sauna and Pearl 28 at the acclaimed Pearl City township in Simpang Ampat and IJM Land’s Senjayu Terrace in Jawi.

Property value is expected to rise by 2019 and 2020 so now is a good time to invest in properties.
