Walk in the avengers’ world
Fan- favourite interactive experience Avengers S. T. A. T. I. O. N. opens in Paris.
MARVEL fans in Europe, rejoice – les Vengeurs have landed in Paris! That’s “the Avengers” to you, True Believer.
Victory Hill Exhibitions ( VHE) has set up its acclaimed interactive experience, Avengers S. T. A. T. I. O. N. ( Scientific Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network), in Paris.
The exhibit, conducted in French, opened its doors last week and will run until Sept 25 at the City Of Lights’ Esplanade de La Defense.
Visitors to Avengers S. T. A. T. I. O. N. will take a journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe, specifically those characters and events linked to the super- team known as the Avengers – including Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Falcon and Vision.
Much more than a collection of props and costumes, it gives visitors unique looks at Avengers characters and paraphernalia. A replica of Hulk’s massive hand, for example, has reflex zones and acupressure points marked out to give you an idea of how Black Widow put the big guy to “sleep” in that remarkably tender moment from Avengers: Age Of Ultron.
Want to see a Chitauri warrior up close? Stand next to the treetrunk- like legs of Iron Man’s Hulkbuster armour? Power up the Tesseract portal? Fire a repulsor blast? Sling that iconic shield? It’s all here, and more.
Virtual reality headsets add an immersive element to the experience, while personal handheld devices let you interact with certain displays and even battle waves of Avengers foes on giant screens.
With all this on offer, it’s no wonder that the fan- favourite exhibition has been a huge hit in New York and Seoul, with Paris now repeating that success.
“The opening of Avengers S. T. A. T. I. O. N. in Paris has been incredible. The press event ( last week) was a huge success and audiences have flocked to the show in droves over the first few days,” said VHE chief creative officer Nicholas Cooper. “I am very proud to have had our show be so well received by the French press and audiences.”
Ron Tan, CEO/ president of VHE, said: “We are very lucky to have very supportive partners in Marvel, Disney, ( French broadcaster) TF1 and Samsung. Their involvement makes the promotion of the show even more spectacular.”
Further shows in Europe are in the pipeline after Paris. An Avengers S. T. A. T. I. O. N. is also set to open in Las Vegas’ Treasure Island Hotel and Casino this summer.
VHE is a unit of Singapore- listed Cityneon Holdings Ltd, which in turn is a subsidiary of Star Media Group Bhd.
