WITH video watching on mobile on the rise, U Mobile Sdn Bhd is now offering unlimited videos streaming for selected postpaid plans.

Called Video- Onz, users of the i90 and i130 iPhone plans and the Hero Postpaid P70 will now enjoy unlimited video streaming all day long on 11 platforms.

Some of the platforms are YouTube, HyppTV Everywhere, Viu, iFlix, Youku Tudou, Astro On The Go, tonton and ErosNow.

“After months of planning and working with our valued partners, we are delighted to present VideoOnz to our customers,” said U Mobile chief marketing officer Jasmine Lee.

“No customers will be able to resist the attraction of streaming now that they can stream all their favourite content for free without using their data.”

The content available from its partners covers a wide range of languages, including Bahasa Malaysia, English, Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese, Tamil, Hindi and even Bengali.

Other postpaid and broadband plan users, as well as prepaid users, will receive additional data equivalent to their monthly quota.

For instance, if the user has a 5GB monthly data quota, an additional 5GB will be provided specifically for video streaming. U Mobile is also giving its UMI prepaid users a one- time 1GB data until June 30 for streaming.

All U Mobile users will also get two months’ access to HyppTV Everywhere and 60 days premium access to Viu.

However, video streaming will be capped at 1.5Mpbs ( megabits per second) which Lee said is good enough for standard definition.

Users can still choose to watch high- definition videos but doing so will consume their monthly data.

?? ?? Lee says that subscribers will be able to enjoy a wide variety of content in languages such as Bahasa Malaysia, English, Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese, Tamil and Hindi.
