HERE are three stars who were famously fired from their TV shows for behaving badly.

thomas Gibson

Who would’ve thought the actor who played the soft- spoken Greg for five seasons on Dharma & Greg and the boss of the Behavioural Analysis Unit ( BAU) on Criminal Minds had anger management issues? Gibson, 54, was fired from Criminal Minds after he allegedly assaulted writer- producer Virgil Williams during an on- set argument.

Gibson, who has starred on the crime procedural series for the past 12 years, was directing an episode written by Williams. After a disagreement on the creative direction, Gibson kicked Williams in the shin. Gibson was then suspended from the show, and then fired.

The actor has since hired lawyers and is considering a lawsuit against the show.

Jeremy Clarkson

The popular host of the hit British show Top Gear was given the boot when he struck a producer at a hotel last year. The producer, Oisin Tymon, suffered swelling and a split lip.

After an internal investigation, BBC – which produces Top Gear – didn’t renew Clarkson’s contract.

Although more than a million fans signed a petition to reinstate the host, BBC stood its ground.

BBC director general Tony Hall said Clarkson, 56, had crossed the line and the decision is final. “There cannot be one rule for one and one rule for another,” Hall said.

Isaiah Washington

After three seasons on the hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, Washington, 53, was given the pink slip after he used a homophobic slur during an altercation with co- star Patrick Dempsey. The slur was directed at Washington’s other co- star T. R. Knight, who then decided to come out as gay when news circulated about the on- set fight.

Although the argument happened in October 2006, Washington was only let go in June 2007, leading many to condemn ABC Studios and Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes for not handling the situation in an appopriate and swift manner. – Gordon Kho
