INDIVIDUALS who have an interest in the field of technology can pursue one of the information technology ( IT) programmes offered at Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur ( IUKL) through its Faculty of Creative Media and Innovative Technology ( FCMIT).
The Bachelor of Information Technology ( Hons) in Network Technology equips students with skills in operating applications in interfacing between public and private networks as well as constructing security resolutions for LANs.
Students receive free training and are required to sit for the Cisco professional certification by the Cisco Certified Network Associate ( CCNA).
The Diploma in Network and Mobile Technology equips students in simple development and deployment techniques required for mobile devices and to understand the mobile communication infrastructure.
The Bachelor of Information Technology ( Hons) in Software Engineering introduces students to the mathematical foundations of software engineering, programming, software development methodologies, software processes and lifecycles, software quality, testing as well as technical documentation.
IUKL provides free certification trainings for final year students of this programme. The Malaysian Software Testing Board is the only body that provides the Certified Tester Foundation Level ( CTFL) certification.
Students of the Diploma in Software Engineering course are taught to design software that is user- friendly, affordable and easy to maintain. The principles of software development, testing and maintenance are important features of this programme.
The Bachelor of Computer Science ( Hons) equips graduates to be technically competent in the analysis, development and implementation of computer systems. IUKL provides free certification trainings ( CTFL) for final year students of this programme.
The Bachelor of Multimedia ( Hons) is designed to produce competent and talented graduates in fields associated with design, media, creative arts as well as information and communication technologies.
The Diploma in Visual and Interactive Media is designed to produce competent graduates in visual and interactive media. With added knowledge in entrepreneurial and technical skills, graduates can opt for employment or to pursue their bachelor’s degree.
The Bachelor of Information Systems ( Hons) is designed to produce competent and marketable graduates in managing and developing information systems in a business context with added knowledge in information management, enterprise systems, e- commerce and organisational behaviour.
The Diploma in Information Technology provides the theoretical bases of programming, computer science, networking, software project management and databases.
