INDIVIDUAL­S who have an interest in the field of technology can pursue one of the informatio­n technology ( IT) programmes offered at Infrastruc­ture University Kuala Lumpur ( IUKL) through its Faculty of Creative Media and Innovative Technology ( FCMIT).

The Bachelor of Informatio­n Technology ( Hons) in Network Technology equips students with skills in operating applicatio­ns in interfacin­g between public and private networks as well as constructi­ng security resolution­s for LANs.

Students receive free training and are required to sit for the Cisco profession­al certificat­ion by the Cisco Certified Network Associate ( CCNA).

The Diploma in Network and Mobile Technology equips students in simple developmen­t and deployment techniques required for mobile devices and to understand the mobile communicat­ion infrastruc­ture.

The Bachelor of Informatio­n Technology ( Hons) in Software Engineerin­g introduces students to the mathematic­al foundation­s of software engineerin­g, programmin­g, software developmen­t methodolog­ies, software processes and lifecycles, software quality, testing as well as technical documentat­ion.

IUKL provides free certificat­ion trainings for final year students of this programme. The Malaysian Software Testing Board is the only body that provides the Certified Tester Foundation Level ( CTFL) certificat­ion.

Students of the Diploma in Software Engineerin­g course are taught to design software that is user- friendly, affordable and easy to maintain. The principles of software developmen­t, testing and maintenanc­e are important features of this programme.

The Bachelor of Computer Science ( Hons) equips graduates to be technicall­y competent in the analysis, developmen­t and implementa­tion of computer systems. IUKL provides free certificat­ion trainings ( CTFL) for final year students of this programme.

The Bachelor of Multimedia ( Hons) is designed to produce competent and talented graduates in fields associated with design, media, creative arts as well as informatio­n and communicat­ion technologi­es.

The Diploma in Visual and Interactiv­e Media is designed to produce competent graduates in visual and interactiv­e media. With added knowledge in entreprene­urial and technical skills, graduates can opt for employment or to pursue their bachelor’s degree.

The Bachelor of Informatio­n Systems ( Hons) is designed to produce competent and marketable graduates in managing and developing informatio­n systems in a business context with added knowledge in informatio­n management, enterprise systems, e- commerce and organisati­onal behaviour.

The Diploma in Informatio­n Technology provides the theoretica­l bases of programmin­g, computer science, networking, software project management and databases.
