SATURDAY: Fans of Japanese film can enjoy Joji Matsuoka’s culinary drama, which is based on the manga and television series of the same name. The Weekend Japanese Film Show, organised by the Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur, is in the Japanese language with English subtitles. NOV 15-19: Three venues set the stage for five funny-filled nights as Kuah Jenhan, Kavin Jay, Andrew Netto, Phoon Chi Ho and Papi Zak will be serving up their freshest observatio­ns as well as revisiting their classic gems. SATURDAY & SUNDAY: Led by conductor Grant Cooper and featuring buffoon soloist Dan Kamin, the Malaysian Philharmon­ic Orchestra’s family-themed concert, The Classical Clown, has sparks flying when Kamin becomes the clown and battles with Cooper for the control of the orchestra. The symphonic showdown features pieces like Fucik’s Entry Of The Gladiators, Satie’s Gymnopedie No.1, Stravinsky’s Waltz Suite No.2, and Beethoven’s Symphony No.2 (Scherzo).
