Exhibition on quality UK education

-

OVER the past few years, there has been a steady increase in the number of students studying in the United Kingdom.

With an education history spanning over 800 years, UK universities have maintained their international reputation for excellence through stringent quality standards.

Alumni of UK universities have become global corporate leaders, leading politicians, thinkers and professionals who have had significant influence on global matters.

IDP Destination Head (United Kingdom and New Zealand) for the Malaysian, Indonesian and South Korean region Jayanthi Thevarajah said studying in the United Kingdom for an honours degree takes a shorter time compared to other countries. This can be cost-effective for parents in the long run.

“Most UK universities are more flexible in accepting a wider variety of entry level qualifications such as A-Levels, UEC and more,” said Jayanthi.

“Professional degrees such as Accountancy, Engineering and Pharmacy are accredited by relevant regulatory authorities, which set and maintain internationally recognised standards of professional competence and ethics.”

The UK learning experience enables students to learn independent thought, encourages proactive problem-solving skills, enables development of intellectual skills as well as creative and effective thinking – elements valued by employers of a global economy to succeed competitively.

The United Kingdom has welcomed students from over 100 countries for generations. It has one of the world’s lowest dropout rates due to a strong support system in place for international students.

IDP Education Limited is the world’s leading international student placement provider, partnering with over 80 UK institutions.

It has a network of over 80 international student placement centres located in more than 30 countries and has helped over 420,000 international students fulfil their goals in the past 45 years.

It is also the co-owner of the world’s most popular English language test, the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

IDP Education Malaysia’s specialised UK counsellors are trained to assist students throughout their journey to explore education opportunities in the United Kingdom.

IDP Education Malaysia is hosting the IDP UK Education Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Baru, Penang, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu.

This goes beyond matching the student’s choice of study with suitable institutions. It has invested in exclusive innovative software that lets students obtain up-to-date details on the institution of their choice.

IDP Education Malaysia is hosting the IDP UK Education Exhibition which ends tomorrow (Nov 4) in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Baru, Penang, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu.

Students will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from prestigious UK institutions.

This is a good chance to prepare students and parents for the January/February 2017 and September 2017 intakes applications.

Those interested in attending can get advice and information from IDP Education Malaysia’s UK-trained and specialised counsellors as well as institution representatives on career pathways, study applications, student visas and IELTS.

Participating institutions will be accepting applications for various courses and IDP will waive the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service application fees.
