THE new Kia Cerato has been enhanced with practical features – a new design and a powerful two-litre, four-cylinder powertrain that has been engineered for improved fuel economy and performance. It is also equipped with a host of conveniences and driverassistance features, making this car a pleasure to drive for short and long distances.
Enhancements to the new Kia Cerato add a more sophisticated look to its arresting sport-sedan styling. Up front, the Kia Cerato dons a new hood, airflow curtain, bumper, fog lamps and a tiger nose grille that has been extended to connect with new headlamps.
This new take gives the Kia Cerato a more fluid appearance, expressing the new Kia Cerato’s sophisticated personality that is more aggressive and sporty.
Completing the exterior redesign are newly designed alloy wheels, rear bumper, rear reflectors and LED (light-emitting diode) rear combination lamps. These refined external stylings ensure the car looks good from every angle.
Inside, the new Kia Cerato is upgraded with side chrome air vents that provide an attractive contrast to the high glossy black colour of the centre console and seat pattern.
Driving the Kia Cerato has never felt so luxurious. This is due to the handy features that come complete with the car such as the motor-driven power steering (MDPS) with audio and hands-free functionality, pushstart ignition, Bluetooth connectivity, an eight-inch touch screen with a rear view camera display and audio controls.
If that is not enough, Kia made sure drivers are showered with more technological goodies. This vehicle includes AUX (auxiliary port) and USB connectivity, a comfortable 10-way power-driven seat with memory functions and a smart trunk.

The new Kia Cerato comes in three variants: the 1.6L KX, 1.6L and 2.0L. Premium features available exclusively in the two-litre variant include a 4.2-inch TFT LCD (thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal display) colour supervision cluster as well as an advanced air-ventilated passenger seat.
Under its hood, each variant comes with its own unique engine. Kia’s Gamma 1.6 MPI D-CVVT engine produces a respectable 130PS and 157Nm of torque while Kia’s Nu 2.0 MPI D-CVVT engine produces 161PS and 194Nm of torque, mated to a smooth six-speed automatic transmission.
The front suspension is fitted with top-quality Macpherson struts to improve ride quality while the rear suspension is fitted with a coupled torsion beam axle for increased stability, ensuring a safe journey on any occasion or weather.
Its long list of safety features include electronic stability control (ESC), vehicle stability management (VSM), electronic brake force distribution (EBD), brake assist system (BAS), traction control system (TCS), hill-start assist control (HAC), emergency stop signal (ESS), six airbags and a parking assist system.

The on-the-road price for the new Kia Cerato 2.0L is set at RM119,888. The vehicle comes with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty.
