Have a merry Giftmas at IPC’s gift factory
IN this season of giving, IPC is extending a hand of generosity to celebrate its 13th anniversary of creating family fun.
The centre with Swedish roots will be having a “Wonderful Giftsmas Day of Giving”.
On Dec 18, 13 randomly selected blessed shoppers will have a chance to play Santa in an exciting and heart-warming act of giving and receiving.
IPC’s centre manager Loh Long Chiang explained that the idea of Giftsmas started with the notion of wanting to inspire more than just the act of giving.
“The season of yule and presents often come hand-in-hand; kids go to sleep expecting to wake up to presents under the heavily decorated tree; adults walk into store after store, trying to find that perfect gift for their loved ones. But at the end of the season, these gifts hold a lot more meaning than just the physical items and that’s what we hope to communicate through our Merry Giftsmas campaign,” said Loh.
> The big five Yuletide gifts This year, IPC will be having a total of five exciting stations, spread out across the different floors.
To inspire shoppers, each station will be themed with heartfelt significance – the five gifts being Love, Joy, Time, Courage and Nature.
Representing the “Gift of Love” is a cuddly teddy bear filled with warmth and understanding while the “Gift of Joy” brightens smiles with a sparkly bunch of sweet-smelling candy canes.
The timeless grandfather clock that encapsulates the wonderful Yuletide memories with family and friends represents the “Gift of Time”.
Marching out from the famous Christmas tale is the valiant Nutcracker to bring the kids, and even adults, the “Gift of Courage”.
Last but not least, a beautifully decorated potted Giftsmas tree stands for IPC’s commitment to preserve the “Gift of Nature” for the coming generations to enjoy.
Customers can learn more about how these unique gifts were made in the five cheeky but heart-warming guides.
“At IPC, caring for the environment is at the core of everything we do. We believe in creating a better future for the young. After all, the festive season would not be the same without trees to hang colourful Yuletide lights,” added IPC’s deputy centre manager Karyn Lim.
> Preserve the gift of nature, recycle with IPC
IPC’s Recycling and Buy-Back Centre was introduced seven years ago to uphold its value of sustainability in everyday businesses and has been a productive recycling hub ever since.
Customers, from near and far, actively exercise their duty to protect the environment by dropping off their recyclable materials.
IPC offers a buy-back on items such as cardboard, plastics, magazines, newspapers, tins, metals and aluminium, with a minimum weight of 1kg.
Buy-back prices vary for each recyclable material.
The Recycling and Buy-Back Centre is located at the P1 Loading Bay area.
It is also a collection point for out-of-life mercury content light bulbs (also known as Compact Fluorescent Lamp) and batteries for proper disposal.
> In IPC’s goody sack
IPC will be giving away two “Boxes of Festivity” and a limited edition 2017 calendar with a minimum purchase of RM800 in a single receipt or a combination of two receipts within the same transaction day, while stocks last.
