Gain the competitive edge

-

PURSUING tertiary education may not be an easy feat for those who have started working. This could pose a challenge for most working adults as they are juggling work obligations and family commitments.

SEGi University & Colleges has the solution for that. With SEGi’s Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) programme, adult learners have the opportunity to pursue their studies without having to compromise their commitments or responsibilities.

They can pursue higher education at their own convenience, anywhere and at anytime while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Adult learners undergoing the programme commonly referred to as PACE may choose a study mode that best suits their lifestyle. The available modes are weekend or evening classes, supported learning and/or independent learning.

With PACE, students need not physically attend scheduled classes but can log on to the classes through a personalised app on their smartphones or tablets anytime and anywhere, provided they have Internet access.

Also, they are only required to attend scheduled workshops at any of the SEGi campuses twice a month.

A consortium of universities

Besides SEGi University Online, PACE consists of a consortium of global universities offering remarkable programmes from the United Kingdom and Australia.

The universities under the PACE umbrella are University of Greenwich, University of Sunderland, University of St Mark & St John and York St John University in the UK as well as University of Southern Queensland, Australia.

Among the PACE programmes offered are communication studies, early childhood care and education, business and accounting, technology and innovation, allied health sciences and law.

Education for the community

Another highlight of PACE is the flexible payment modes. PACE offers many financial options to students, including flexible loan plan with 0% interest, PTPTN (Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional) loan or fund withdrawal from their Employees Provident Fund (Account 2), making it easily accessible to all. This is the best kind of investment one should take up for an immediate return.

As an institution that is particularly concerned about community needs, SEGi has been recognised by the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) Stars system as the first Malaysian university to earn five stars for prioritising the society’s needs in Malaysia in its 2016 results.

Besides that, SEGi University was awarded five stars in the categories of teaching, facilities, social responsibility and inclusiveness in the QS Stars audit and achieved a stunning three stars overall.

The award presentation took place at the 12th QS Asia Pacific Professional Leaders in Education Conference and Exhibition.
