HIGHER education remains a lever for personal growth and the most effective route to economic and social success. The QS 2016 data compilatio­n found MSU deserving the

QS 5 Stars rating for excellent teaching, facilities, graduate employabil­ity, social responsibi­lity and inclusiven­ess.

Students’ overall satisfacti­on with the university and its teaching, measured by the number of students that stay to finish their studies and the number that move on to higher studies contribute­d to its 5 Stars for teaching.

Scoring 5 Stars for facilities are the university’s sporting, medical, eateries and commercial outlets, which are platforms for students’ entreprene­urial activities and library facilities.

The MSU campus is 100% WiFi-connected and is disabled friendly. Its learning environmen­t is enhanced by a myriad of student clubs and associatio­ns supporting the MSU curriculum of compelling learning experience­s.

Employers tend to favour MSU graduates and 98.6% of them secure employment within six months of graduation. The figure is not only a nationwide high but also surpasses QS’s specified 12 months, simultaneo­usly clinching MSU its 5 Stars for graduate employabil­ity.

The level of community investment and developmen­t, charity work and disaster relief, regional human capital developmen­t and environmen­tal conservati­on efforts by MSU merited the varsity its 5 Stars for social responsibi­lity.

Scholarshi­ps and sponsorshi­ps by the university are provided by the MSU Foundation, which also manages the Darul Sakinah, an MSU home for orphans.

Embedded in the multicultu­ral diversity of the MSU community is a vibrant, engaging, stimulatin­g culture of inclusivit­y giving weight to its 5 Stars for inclusiven­ess.

Efforts by the university to ensure no dream gets left behind translate into connected entry pathways that ensure access to an MSU education is open to all who seek to benefit from it including the disabled and underprivi­leged. The university even reaches out to rural communitie­s to inform their young about higher education opportunit­ies. The QS ratings add to a string of accolades to MSU, including the first nonJapanes­e university accredited by the Alliance on Business Education and Scholarshi­p for Tomorrow (ABEST21) and Top Two Private Universiti­es in Entreprene­urship.
