FEBRUARY and March have always been a difficult period not only for parents but also SPM and STPM school-leavers as results are usually announced around this time. It marks the time for making an important decision in further study options. For those who find it difficult to obtain relevant information or to make the right choice, visit the Facon Education Fair. It is endorsed by the Education Ministry in recognition of its success and contributions to the education industry and human resource development.

With more than 250 booths, the fair provides an ideal platform to meet globally recognised higher learning institutions that will be disseminating information on further education opportunities.

The roadshow covers the following cities: – March 11 to March 12 at Persada Convention Centre, Johor Baru

– March 16 at Kinta Riverfront Hotel and Suites, Ipoh

– March 17 at Jen Hotel, Penang

– March 18 at Holiday Villa Hotel, Alor Setar

– March 19 at Equatorial Hotel, Malacca The opening hours are from noon to 6pm. Those interested in completing their higher education locally will find major local and award-winning institutions at the fair – a superb platform to meet all these institutions under one roof. It also offers a unique chance to meet representatives from renowned institutions from Australia, Canada, Indonesia, India, New Zealand, Russia, Taiwan, the UK, the US and others.

The information gathered will help you make a better choice on your future education path. With thousands of programmes offered, visitors will be spoilt for choice. Many of these programmes not only emphasise academic excellence but also prioritise work experience and communication skills to boost students’ employability.

For working adults wishing to pursue postgraduate programmes, there is a wide range offered. An information booth will be specially set up at the Johor Baru venue to assist visitors with information on scholarships offered by participating institutions.

The Yayasan Raja Zarith Sofiah Negeri Johor will also provide financial assistance to students through “Bantuan Pelajaran ZSIEFA B-40” and “ZSIEFA Student Study Grant” at the venue.

On top of that, the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) will be present at all venues to disseminate information on study loans. Visitors are invited to attend a series of presentations to have a better understanding of the programmes, institutions and its facilities conducted by the exhibitors. The academic presentations are held only at the Johor Baru venue and while admission is free, seats are limited.

In the coming fair, visitors can stand a chance to win an iPhone 7 and Mini iPad 4.
