SEGI University offers health science programmes in medicine, optometry, dentistry, pharmacy and biomedical science, which are highly sought after by aspiring healthcare profession­als.

SEGi University offers the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). This programme is designed for aspiring medical doctors who believe in making a difference in the lives of others through the prevention of illnesses, therapy and rehabilita­tive medicine.

SEGi ensures that its graduates become lifelong learners who stay abreast of the technologi­cal advances in medicine to guarantee that patients receive the best care possible.

SEGi’s Bachelor of Optometry (Hons) is ideal for those who have a passion for vision sciences. This programme enables students to gain the knowledge and expertise needed in the optometry field.

The campus includes state-of-the-art facilities such as the eyecare centre, SEGi EyeCare, which allows students to study optometry in a real-world setting and gain practical experience using the latest specialise­d equipment.

The programme is also listed in the World Council of Optometry’s (WCO) list of optometry schools in Asia Pacific.

SEGi’s Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) puts students on the pathway to a respected profession­al career in dentistry.

Under the programme, students will be exposed to clinical training where emphasis will be given to the early detection and prevention of oral diseases.

SEGi’s Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) programme is perfect for students who want to have a fulfilling career by making a difference in a patient’s health.

Students who enrol in for this programme will have the privilege of using the state-ofthe-art facilities provided for them such as the aseptic suite, pharmaceut­ical laboratory, pharmaceut­ical chemistry laboratory, biology laboratory and mock dispensary.

Alternativ­ely, SEGi’s Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) allows students to follow their dreams of becoming a biomedical scientist, toxicologi­st or clinical biochemist.

Under this programme, students will be exposed to anatomy, clinical biochemist­ry, human genetics and immunology.

To enrol in SEGi’s health science programmes, students with SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) qualificat­ions or equivalent may begin their healthcare profession­al journey with its Foundation of Science programme.

The Foundation of Science at SEGi is a one-year programme that is spread over three semesters.

Upon completion of the foundation programme, students can gain direct entry into any health science programme that she or he desires.

Through the High Achiever’s Scholarshi­p, students can obtain up to 100% tuition fee waiver and may apply using their SPM/UEC (Unified Examinatio­n Certificat­e) forecast results.
