The right support

Triumph’s Triaction collection allows women to train in multiple sports, with varying intensity.

A WOMAN’S confidence increases twofold if she wears a properly fitted bra, especially when it comes to working out.

If the bra is riding up or the shoulder strap is coming off, it’s probably too big.

A lot of women suffer from back and neck pain because of incorrect sizing or fitting, and the ones with bigger breasts tend to shy away from exercising as they’re embarrassed about the bounce.

Realising this, German lingerie brand Triumph came up with Triaction, a sports bra collection where fashion meets functionality. The wide-strapped, style-driven, quick-dry collection gives women the freedom to train in multiple sports, with varying intensity.

Triaction entered Malaysia in the third quarter of 2016, when the new innovation was launched globally. Last month, Triumph unveiled its Autumn/Winter 2017 Triaction range in Sydney, Australia. This collection will be available locally from April 28.

This season’s Triaction features the Studio and Cardio range, and has a style to suit everybody.

Leading the Cardio range is Triaction’s Dynamic Lite collection, featuring a 3D powertech process, which fuses multiple layers for all-round anti-bounce compression, extreme support and soft comfort that adjusts to your curves.

With an overall bounce control reduction up to 78%, the collection guarantees one of the best support levels in the market, enabling women to feel secure and stylish whilst enjoying high intensity activities.

The bounce control was tested and certified by United Kingdom’s University of Portsmouth’s Research Group In Breast Health.

The bounce control is a scientific measure that gives the percentage of breast movement reduction when exercising. It measures breast movement in all directions: (forward/backward, side/side and up/down) and gives an overall breast movement reduction in percentage.

The Studio collection comes recommended for women preferring low intensity, toning activities. In this range is the Triaction Magic Motion, a sports bra based on Triumph’s best-selling lingerie fits. Featuring the Magic Motion Air technology, this style offers the support of a wire but with extra comfort and flexibility for the wearer. The smart fabrication has quick dry properties, and the perforated cups allow for increased breathability.

Media members had the opportunity to try out the collection at a special spinning class held at the Royal Botanic

Gardens.

Leading the pack was Australian model and Triumph ambassador Jessica Hart. At 31, the leggy blonde is still sought after for modelling gigs so exercise ranks high on her priority list.

“If I’m not working, I allocate an hour everyday so you can find me at the gym. I love spin classes and Pilates. I also work out with a trainer doing high intensity circuit training. The hardest part to see results is probably on my butt. I amp my training up a little bit when I know I have an underwear shoot coming up. I also give up alcohol and drink lots and lots of water.

“It’s important to change your workout routine because your body gets used to things. So I’m constantly trying to trick myself into new exercises to keep myself entertained. If I’m travelling, it’s always lunges, push ups and planking as these are the easiest to do in a hotel room,” shares the Melbourneraised Hart, who now resides in New York.

Like many women, she could never find a sports bra with the perfect fit. It often left her uncomfrustrated. fortable and

She says, “There are only so many things you can change about yourself. I’ve got low set breasts and a lot of sports bras are just non-adjustable. I fall out the bottom of every sports bra and I’ve never been able to find one that works to hold them in place. It rides up when I stretch so I’m constantly trying to ‘pull myself back in’ – that’s my biggest insecurity.

“The Triaction sports bra has really helped me out. It offers the best bounce control and I always feel fully supported, no matter what exercise I’m doing. The brand understands that the wrong or uncomfortable fit can ruin a woman’s day and that level of insight means that it designs excellent products. I worked with Triumph a few years ago and it’s great to be back.”

Hart loves food, especially fries and pizza. She must have it a few times a week but she also likes being healthy and indulges on salads on veggies.

“When I turned 18, I realised I had to start working out and couldn’t eat what I wanted to so I mix it up. I don’t have a regular diet. Everything changes; there are no rules or restrictions. If I allow myself everything, it’s easier. I never eat anything for breakfast; I get up, have coffee and maybe eat something at 11am, then it’s lunch. My most important meal is dinner,” she adds.

Her beauty regime is kept simple – just like her naturally derived cosmetic line, Luma. Hart uses a light scrub daily, vitamin C serum, moisturiser and when required, sunscreen. Then she’s off to tackle the day.
