Growth mindset
INSPIRING children to embrace a growth mindset is the core principle in the process of teaching and learning for both students and faculty members in Sri Bestari International School (SBIS), which is set for its first intake in September at a 15-acre (6.1ha) campus in Bandar Sri Damansara.
The establishment of Sri Bestari International School (SBIS), founded this year is part of Lang Education Sdn Bhd (LESB)’s expansion plan to inspire children by educating and imparting noble values in them to be the outstanding professionals and leaders of tomorrow.
LESB envisions to challenge students to realise their potential and exceed it by providing a holistic and global learning experience through continuous reflection and engagement.
SBIS offers the National UK Curriculum for Reception to Year 9 students and Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) curriculum for Year 10 and 11 students.
SBIS aims to provide an affordable and quality education for students, with an emphasis on growth mindset based on the 21st century skills rubrics that tap on emotional intelligence, innovation and technology advancement.
Students are facilitated throughout their learning progress to try new strategies and seek input from others.
The impetus for ongoing improvement under LESB is fundamentally anchored by passionate, qualified, and experienced teachers.
“SBIS is committed to an education journey that not only meets the expectations for academic rigour in the pursuit of excellence but also possesses a deep sense of humility with a global mindset to make a difference, and the willingness to accept people’s differences throughout the journey of growth,” says principal Dr Wong Siew Chin.
