Relay for life
CATCH Aaleyxia Intan Ahmad Termizi perform at the National Cancer Society of Malaysia’s (NCSM) Relay For Life on Sept 9. Relay For life is the biggest cancer fundraising, awareness and celebratory event in Kuala Lumpur. The 16-hour-long event will see survivors, families, their friends and supporters come together, taking turns to walk around a field track to show their unity against cancer.
A special ceremony will also be held to honour those fighting the disease and those who have lost the battle.
Other activities include performances by local rapper Altimet (formerly of the Teh Tarik Crew) as well as cancer survivors, Zumbathons, games and a healthy cooking demonstration by Chef Anis Nabilah.
Funds raised will go towards NCSM’s community outreach programmes, therapies and wellness classes for patients and survivors, cancer and health screening services for the underprivileged, and accommodation for children with cancer.
