Preparing students for the real working world
with teamwork and facilitated by the lecturers.
The Engineering Business Management programme incorporates business and technical elements, adding to the problem-solving capabilities, by following closely the full scope of business capacities.
This prepares students to discover their place in a world where innovation and competitiveness are the ruling statutes of the commercial centres.
In the first and second semester of the study, the programme covers the
MQA modules, the university’s compulsory subjects along with the common core modules.
The discipline core modules start by the third semester of the academic year.
The programme consists of two elective subjects where the students can choose from a pool of subjects that satisfies the requirements of the programme’s educational objectives.
The programme ends with a 16-week industrial training exercise where the students are exposed to the practices and challenges of the industry.
An engineering business management degree opens up opportunities to a wide range of disciplines.
The breadth of competencies that UniKL IPROM inculcates in a student helps the graduates to gain jobs in the fields of inventory management, procurement, quality management and project management.
The engineering business management programme also embedded the body of knowledge for two professional certifications from the American Certification Institute (ACI) for Certificate in Quality Improvement Professional (CQIP) and Six Sigma certification.
Students can obtain CQIP Level 1 while they are doing their studies in UniKL IPROM and subsequently proceed to Level 2 upon graduation.
