Python
One of the easiest languages to learn and often recommended to beginners. Python is often used in web programming and was used to create YouTube, Spotify and Instagram.
Java
One of the most in-demand programming languages. It can be used on many platforms, and is currently the popular choice for mobile applications on Android.
JavaScript
A relatively easier programming language to learn compared to others. JavaScript is popularly used as the tool to control the frontend of web applications and it is used in a majority of websites today.
C
One of the oldest programming languages, and also one of the toughest to learn. C is widely applied in system and hardware programming as it is quite flexible and versatile.
C#
Similar to Java at the core, and is mainly used for developing desktop applications. Most Windows programs are built using this language.
C++
A more complex version of C, but still widely used in desktop developments and to build games. It is also often used to build operating systems, hardware and browsers.
Ruby
A fun introduction to coding. The popular Ruby on Rails framework is often used to create databases, websites and applications. Hulu and Groupon were built using this language.
Swift
A programming language developed by Apple, it is quite easy to learn. Many of the mobile apps on the Apps Store was created with it.
