Experience everything about the PS4

PLAY Everything, a regional roadshow by PlayStatio­n Asia, kicks off tomorrow at Sunway Pyramid.

The roadshow, which will go on until Nov 19, has no admission fee so bring your friends and family, as it’s a good opportunit­y for gamers and even non-gamers to try out popular PlayStatio­n 4 (PS4) titles.

There will be plenty of gear and games to play, including family and kid friendly Knack 2, retro platformer Crash Bandicoot, hit racing game Gran Turismo Sport, football game FIFA 18 and drum arcade game Taiko No Tatsujin.

And for a really immersive experience try out virtual reality titles with the PlayStatio­n VR (PSVR). At the show you’ll get to play with titles like shooter Far Point, living room game Playroom VR and a variety of VR games with VR World. It’s also a great place to buy the console and VR headset as PlayStaton Asia will be having special promotions.

The PSVR with PlayStatio­n camera, two Move controller­s and VR World title will go for RM1,349.

The PS4 FIFA 18 bundle with an extra DualShock controller and DS4 Cushion will cost RM1,499.

The PS4 Pro with an additional DualShock Controller and Destiny 2 game will be priced at RM1,799.

The previous stops were in Sunway Velocity, as well as cities such as Singapore, Manila and Jakarta. — Madhavan M HAVING already launched seven Moto devices so far this year, Lenovo Mobile Malaysia has added two more models – the Moto G5S Plus and Moto X4, both of which feature dual rear cameras.

First up is the mid-range Moto G5S Plus, which has two 13-megapixel cameras on the back, which can be used to create the Bokeh effect to make your subject stand out.

Another interestin­g feature is “selective black and white” which lets you pick an area to remain in colour while turning the rest of the photo into monochrome.

You can also remove the background in a photo and replace it with, say, an outdoor landscape scene.

The G5S Plus supports recording videos in 4K and slow motion.

It also has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies.

The phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, and has a 5.5in full-HD display, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card), and 3,000mAh battery with fast charging support.

The G5S Plus retails for RM999 and comes in Lunar Gray and Blush Gold colours.

The Moto X4, on the other hand, has two rear cameras – a standard 12-megapixel sensor and 8-megapixel sensor with wide-angle sensor (120º).

It also has the same effects and photo editing features as the G5S.

On the front is a 16-megapixel camera, which has an adaptive low-light mode for HP’s consumer laptops – the Spectre 13 and Spectre x360 13 – have been redesigned to look sleek with thinner bezels. The laptops use aluminium and carbon fibre, making them lightweigh­t yet durable.

You can configure the laptops with either an Intel 8th generation Core i5 or i7 processor, up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB SSD (solid state drive).

Both have a 13.3in screen and the choice of resolution is from full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) to 4K (3,840 x 2,160 pixels).

Also, the Spectre x360 13 has flexible hinges so you can flip the keyboard around and turn it into a tablet, or use it in tent mode for presentati­ons and watching movies.

The Spectre 13’s battery is rated to last up improving the quality of selfies when there isn’t sufficient light.

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor, the Moto X4 features a 5.2in full-HD display, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage (expandable up to 2TB), and 3,000mAh battery with fast charging support.

The Moto X4 is priced at RM1,899 and comes in two colours – Super Black and Sterling Blue. to 11.5 hours while the Spectre x360 13’s for up to 13 hours.

Both laptops come in two colours – the Spectre 13 in Ceramic White and Dark Ash, and the Spectre x360 13 in Natural Silver and Dark Ash Silver.

The company has yet to announce the prices but the laptops are expected to be released before the Christmas holiday period.

HP also showed off its Sprocket 2-in-1 pocket photo printer, which also doubles as an instant camera, and the Zbook x2 workstatio­n, which is targeted at artists, designers and digital imaging profession­als.

They are expected to be launched in January but the prices have yet to be announced. — Lee Kah Leng
