A sink supreme
RINNAI’S brand new premium kitchen sink and faucet collection called Suprema is a collaboration between Japan’s number one choice and Australia’s renowned brand of kitchen sinks and faucets.
Rinnai Malaysia marketing manager Jean Se said: “Rinnai has developed gas hobs for household and commercial kitchens since the 1940s, but the kitchen experience is more than that.”
Se said over the last few years, Rinnai has developed more appliances. These include built-in hobs, table-top stoves, built-in ovens and cooker hoods.
No matter what the cuisine, she added, for a cook, the kitchen sink is where a meal begins and ends.
To give home cooks an appliance that adheres to the same standards as other commercial kitchen appliances, the sink contains 304-grade stainless steel which is used in most food processing equipment in the F&B industry.
The grade is chosen for its durability and silence against the impact of running water. The corrosion-resistant properties also help the sink retain a long-lasting and pristine appeal.
The sink is equipped with “crossed lines” at the bottom allowing for a smooth and swift flow of water.
Water leaves the sink quicker, leaving zero residue and saving it from gradual staining.
A “basket waste” in the drain also prevents food waste from going down the pipe. This prevents clogs, a bad smell and pests from infecting the kitchen.
Its square-bottom models contain a R10 radius angle which offers more space than a round-bottom sink and a clean-cut edge.
The overflow protection on the side of the sink also helps water drain safely from the sink.
Its filter system and enhanced streamline function takes on a three-in-one role – an outlet provides hot and cold water while another, drinking water.
Suprema’s single faucet also comes with a dedicated hose that connects to any water filter system, freeing the kitchen area of a messy tangle of hoses.
Fitting the faucet is also easy, thanks to the innovative “E-fit” system.
And Suprema has installed a LED indicator in the faucet to show the water filter cartridge lifespan. This battery-powered device lasts 10 years and turns from blue to red to indicate that a cartridge needs replacing.
The flexible cross-linked polyethylene hose is encased in the 304 stainless steel. Combined with a lock nut forged by brass, the hose is corrosion- and chemical-resistant, able to withstand high temperatures, staying odour- and lead-free.
Further strengthening the faucet is the single-piece quality brass body and a multi-layered chrome spout.
The body is made from a special casting technique that achieves a smooth, hi-precision “gravity cast”.
This prevents air pockets from being trapped within, while the high-quality chrome ensures a pristine, shiny surface, enhancing its durability.
Also, to achieve optimal flow, the aerator has an ideal ratio between air and water, resulting in high efficiency.
