PURSUING higher education is one of the options for students after completing high school.

Enrolling in a diploma programme is one of the choices available for them before continuing their university studies.

The availability of scholarships and loans is a great help to students who need financial support to pursue higher education and fulfil their dreams.

Financial aid for students

Lim Yuan and Leow Zhie Chin are two recipients of SC Scholarships to pursue a twoyear Diploma in Accounting and Finance (LCCI International Qualifications) programme in SC College.

Leow is thankful to SC College for selecting her as one of the scholarship recipients.

“Besides reducing my parents’ financial burden, this scholarship motivates me to perform better. I will strive to study hard and achieve good results.

“I hope that one day, I will be able to help other students achieve their goals just as SC College has helped me,” Leow said.

“Thank you for providing me with this scholarship. It’s really helpful, especially in terms of financial assistance for the first semester,” said Lim.

“I will study hard to get excellent results to show my determination and appreciation to SC College as one of the scholarship recipients.

“This scholarship will also be an added value in my job resume,” she added.

Credit transfer

The Pearson LCCI UK international qualification, which is highly recognised by local and international employers, has enabled students to land jobs in Malaysia, Singapore and other countries.

Moreover, students also have the option to further their studies to the second year of bachelor degree programmes.

As a strategic academic partner of Wawasan Open University (WOU), diploma graduates from SC College are given credit transfer to the second year of Bachelor of Business (Hons) programmes offered by WOU.

SC College has also collaborated with KDU University College Penang to enable diploma graduates to have credit transfer and entry to the second year of Bachelor of Accounting (Hons), which entails a single award or dual award with the University of Lincoln in the United Kingdom.
