Scholarships for deserving students

-

KDU Penang University College (KDU Penang) believes in providing quality wholesome and holistic education, and has a high employability rate among its students.

Since welcoming its first batch of students in 1991, it has become one of the most established private tertiary education providers in the northern region, with international alumni from over 60 countries.

For years, KDU Penang has offered scholarships to deserving students with excellent results. This year, various types of scholarships and academic grants are available.

The 2018 Scholarship and Bursary Awards is open to pre-university and diploma students with outstanding SPM, IB (MYP) and O-Levels results. With up to 100% tuition fee waiver, there are no stringent conditions for applicants except to maintain good behaviour and a 2.00 CGPA throughout their studies.

An “A” grade, regardless of whether it is an “A+”, “A” and “A-”, is a plus point compared to other scholarship offerings. No interview is required.

The Scholarship for Degree Programme is awarded based on a student’s STPM, A-Levels, UEC, SACE/NSW HSC/AUSMAT, IB Diploma, Foundation, Matriculation and Diploma results, as well as other equivalent qualification scores. Students who qualify could receive up to 100% tuition fee waiver.

The Leadership Scholarship is open to top school performers, winners of school and national level competitions, presidents of school clubs, societies and uniform units, as well as head prefects. Qualified candidates are entitled to up to 100% tuition fee waiver.

The Sports Scholarship is open to all national and state level athletes applying for pre-university, KDU diploma (excluding nursing programme) and degree programmes. State athletes are entitled to up to 50% tuition fee waiver, while national athletes can get up to 100%.

Other scholarships and bursary offering up to 100% tuition fee waiver include Yayasan KDU, Hope Bursary, Teacher and Family Bursary and Pre-University Level Up with a Degree Bursary.

KDU Penang’s range of internationally recognised industry-driven academic programmes covers a wide level of offerings, from certificate to postgraduate level in pre-university studies, accounting and business, computing and games technology, built environment and interior design, hospitality, tourism and culinary arts, engineering, languages, mass communication and nursing.

Collaborations with acclaimed names such as University of Lincoln (UK), Northumbria University (UK) and the IMI International Management Institute (Switzerland) has proven fruitful as KDU Penang maintains its high employability rate track record.

The 2018 scholarships and bursaries are now open for applications and will be closed seven days before intake dates.
