The Last Tycoon

This 2012 period drama movie is loosely based on 1920s Shanghainese mob boss Du Yuesheng. It is about his rise to the upper echelons of power while being torn between two lovers. It also focuses on murderous plots of the secret service and the looming threat of war. The theme song, Ding Feng Bo, clinched Best Original Song at the 32nd Hong Kong Film Awards. Chow Yun-Fatt, Sammo Hung and Francis Ng stars.
