Meet the new Suria presenter – the bubbly and talkative Feeya Iskandar.

WHEN Feeya Iskandar gets on air, she becomes Cik Piah; an animated, chatty and some might even say naggy version of herself.

“I got the nickname Cik Piah from a friend who said I’m like a “makcik” (auntie) because I’m so talkative! Since, then I just got stuck with it and fans have come to know me as Cik Piah,” she said during an interview in Putrajaya.

Just don’t call her a ‘makcik bawang’ (gossipy auntie).

“I’m not that kind of auntie! I’m more about spreading posivibes,” tive she said with a laugh.

The 29-year-old entertainer has joined Suria as its latest prethe senter for brand new Gaya Suria segment (weekdays, 10am-1pm).

“I want everyone to come and ‘bersantai-santai’ (relax) with me. We’ll talk non-stop about lighthearted topics related to family, beauty and health. We can also exchange tips on everyday things.”

She added that listeners can also call in to talk about where they’re going for lunch that day.

“We invite people to share with us during a segment called ‘Lunch Kat Mana?’ I believe our listeners have a lot of good recommendations for places to eat.”

Ultimately, Feeya believes in making her listeners feel good through Gaya Suria.

“We have topics that a lot of people, especially women, will be interested in. It’s going to be a positive, fun-filled relatable show.”

Prior to Suria, Feeya spent six years at another radio station. After her contract ended in January, she left the job to focus on raising her newborn son. When Suria offered her a contract, Feeya thought it’s time for her to step out of her comfort zone.

“When I was at my previous job, I had this urge to do something different. I don’t want to get too comfortable. The Suria offer came at just the right time. I’m excited to be able to challenge myself again to see what else I can do to be better.”
