Virtual makeup

-

IF you have been using Sephora’s Virtual Artist app to “try on” lipstick and lip gloss colours, you will be thrilled to know they have just upgraded their beauty app.

In time for the Sephora App’s anniversary, the Virtual Artist app now goes beyond lipsticks and lip glosses and expands its try-on function to eyeshadows and eyeliners.

For those who have yet to play with the Virtual Artist, it is a makeup app that uses facial recognition to empower customers to try on products anywhere for a virtual makeover.

The app scans the user’s face to detect eyes, lips, and cheeks for product placement allowing them to find the perfect shade and product — all in the palm of their hand.

The app comes with an instant click to buy function which is built into the user experience. Customers can then proceed to purchase their favourite items all within the app.

Virtual Artist now allows users to play around with an enviable line up of eye products from brands such as Kat Von D Beauty, Zoeva and Tarte.

To find your ideal eye products with this upgraded app, just locate the Virtual Artist feature at the main page of Sephora Mobile App. Try out different looks by applying filters to select products based on category, brand, colour family, formulation or favourites.

Then save and name the various looks to view the combination of products worn. You can compare and review saved looks with the upgraded experience, before proceeding to add favourite items directly to bag. You can also look forward to enjoy gifts with purchase on the app! – Sandra Low
