Mummy, we love you!

-

SINGER Stevie Wonder said: “Mama was my greatest teacher, a teacher of compassion, love and fearlessness. If love is sweet as a flower, then my mother is the sweet flower of love.”

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio says his mother is a walking miracle while singer Alicia Keys’ mother is her rock.

Mothers’ hearts are filled with compassion and they make a lot of sacrifices to keep the family together.

It’s Mother’s Day this Sunday, a day to celebrate our mothers.

What are your plans for Mother’s Day? Are you planning to give your Mum a present or treat her to a scrumptious meal?

Let’s hear what Starchild readers have to say on the topic: Happy Mother’s Day.

“This Mother’s Day, my sister and I will treat Mummy, my paternal grandmother and maternal grandmother to a big dinner.

Every year, I will also make her a card containing “service vouchers”. These vouchers contain services such as doing household chores which Mummy can redeem from me,” writes Dora Chang ,10.

“Happy Mother’s Day to all beloved mothers. May you have a wonderful day with your loved ones. My mother and I have many things in common, such as singing, reading, baking and watching TV. We also love to dance,” writes Sarah Celina, nine.

“My mother is a special person. M is marvellously magnificent, O is ordinary she is not, T is for teaching me, H is happy, E is extraordinary and R is reliable and rare. This is how I describe my loving mother,” says Chang Zhi En ,10.

“My mother’s name is Kogila. In my eyes, she is the best mother in the world. We both like to draw, travel and play sports. She is always supportive and encouraging. I love you so much, Amma,” writes Eleena Shreeya Vasu, eight.

Ng Yan Ting, five, says her mother is her best friend, idol and mentor. “She teaches me a lot of things. She helps me with my homework and takes good care of me. I would like to wish her a Happy Mother’s Day!”

Anna Ruth Oh Hui Hann, seven, writes: “Mummy reads with me and takes me for many fun activities. She also cooks many types of delicious food for me. She dislikes cockroaches and hot weather.”

“My mother is a magnificent, amazing, marvellous and caring woman,” says Nur Kyra Zullaieqa Zulkiflee ,11.

“My mother likes to cook Marmite chicken and lemon chicken for us. Every night, she reads bedtime stories to my sister and me. Mummy dislikes us fighting and advises us to be kinder to each other,” says Yap Shin Ee, seven.

Tharun Kandasamy, seven, says: “My Mummy’s name is Kamala Devi. She likes to eat at A&W. She is displeased when my room is messy. She is loving and caring. I love her very much.”

“Dear Mummy, thanks for helping me and caring for me. I am so grateful. I love you Mummy. I will forever remember you in my heart,” says Grace Kong Wan Ching, eight.

“My Mummy is the nicest and she is always there to guide me. I love you from the bottom of my heart,” writes Harvinder

Singh ,10.

Would it look like the house of the character Gru from Despicable Me? Or will it be like Princess Elena’s beautiful castle on Disney Channel’s Princess Elena Of Avalor? Or perhaps a simple kampung house surrounded by lush greenery? How about a tree house?
