Guidance for enrolling in leading institutions

-

GETTING into world-class universities may seem tough but it is not impossible with the right guidance and coaching.

Over the last 10 years, ASA Overseas Education Specialist has assisted hundreds of Malaysian students with their applications into renowned universities such as Cambridge University, University of St Andrews, as well as the Russell Group Universities and medical schools.

ASA organises a number of high quality enrichment programmes every year with resources and support rendered by its partners, which include many prestigious universities and institutions.

ASA’s series of quality enrichment programmes are held in summer, and they are now open for registration to:

• students aiming to study medicine

• students hoping to enter Oxford and Cambridge, and

• parents wishing to know more on how to support their children who aim to enrol in world-class universities.

Students who have just completed their iGCSE exams will soon be seeking answers in their preparation for university application.

Making full use of the summer to learn how to strengthen their profile and to choose the right A-Levels subjects for the intended degree programmes will definitely help the students to get a head start.

This year, the enrichment programmes will take place in June and July, in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Kota Kinabalu.

These are suitable for parents and students currently in Year 9, 10, 11 and 12.

Students are required to submit an application form with their latest results to secure an offer or seat.

“The enrichment programmes this year focus on entry to Oxbridge and entry to medical schools,” said ASA senior manager Stanley Tan.

There is also a high percentage of students successfully securing seats in medical schools – these are often oversubscribed in many countries, and been perceived as one of the most competitive courses to get in.

Tan observed that ASA education advisers see even Year 9 students charting their study plans already.

Programmes are offered free although a fully refundable attendance deposit is required upon acceptance.
