Shopping galore in Bangalore

-

BANGALORE is a bustling city in India. The scorching heat, huge crowds, jam-packed streets and erratic drivers soon gave Symala a headache.

It was all too overwhelming as Symala, her father and her sister sat in a taxi, stuck in bad traffic due to an accident.

But the taxi drivers in India are skilled and experienced. Fortunately, their taxi driver managed to manoeuvre through the jam to reach their destination in time.

As they alighted from their taxi, they were pleased to see a huge department store called Bollywood Textiles. The atmosphere in the store was cool and welcoming, in contrast to the humid weather outside the department store.

Their father accompanied them to shop for some of the latest Punjabi suits and saris. The girls were astounded by the dazzling jewellery and exquisitely embroidered saris, blouses and Punjabi suits that were on display.

Her dad decided to find a comfortable place to do some reading. He knew he would be stuck in the shopping mall for hours.

The sales personnel were friendly. They even served Symala’s dad cups of coffee.

After four hours, the girls had happily selected their outfits and jewellery. Their father was shocked to see the large purchases and huge bill that came with it.

After their shopping, their father whisked them to the streets for more affordable shopping. They also visited a rose garden nearby.

The next day, Symala persuaded her father to take them to the street bazaar. There, she managed to buy more bangles, traditional clothing and fake diamond necklaces at low prices.

The street bazaar was illuminated with every colour imaginable. It was like walking through a rainbow and the ladies had a wonderful time.

Despite the heavy traffic and humid weather in Bangalore, Symala and her sister were happy with their fruitful shopping trip in India.
