The (very popular) Popular Quiz Show is back with great prizes to be won.
HOW awesome is it going to get at this year’s BookFest@Malaysia? With a theme like “Awesome and More”, you would expect to get a whole lot out of this event.
So here’s one thing you can do every single day at the BookFest, which is on daily at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from tomorrow to June 17: participate in the Popular Quiz Show and stand to win vouchers and books.
The Popular Quiz Show is held from 8pm to 8.45pm at The Stage@Hall 5 each day.
There will be at least 10 winners each day, and all you need is a password to be eligible to participate.
A new password will be posted on the BookFest@Malaysia Facebook page (facebook.com/BookFestMalaysia) daily, so check it before heading to the show.
Here’s a helpful hint for winning: Do brush up on your BookFest@Malaysia knowledge and keep your eyes wide open when you visit the largest book exposition in the country.
You might be asked questions like “What is the theme of this year’s BookFest@ Malaysia?”, “What is the venue’s location?” or “Which Pavilion is new this year?”, and so on.
Trivia and riddles will also be a part of the Popular Quiz Show.
Questions asked in the past editions of the show include “Which Marvel superhero has spider powers?”, “In which city is the Blue Mosque located?”, and “What is Harry Potter’s middle name?” (He has one?!)
Star2 readers will have an edge over everyone else: Just cut out the coupon that will be published in our pages tomorrow and on Sunday and take it with you to the show on the day of publication; this will give you a chance to be picked to participate ahead of those without coupons. This applies to only June 9 and 10, with original coupons (no photocopies, please).

BookFest@Malaysia 2018 will be on daily, from 10am to 10pm, from tomorrow to June 17 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Admission is with purchase of the BookFest catalogue at RM2.50 per entry or RM10 for multiple entries over the nine days. Catalogues are available at all Popular and Harris bookstore outlets nationwide and also at the event’s entrance.
