“Raw milk directly from a cow can be infected with all types of bacteria,” Marler said. “Some argue that milk loses nutrients during pasteurisa­tion, but this is patently false. Skipping pasteurisa­tion means an increased risk of contaminat­ion by bacteria, viruses, and parasites.”
