Updated CX-3 previewed

AHEAD of its upcoming launch, Bermaz recently gave a preview of the updated Mazda CX-3 compact sports utility vehicle that comes with a host of new features.

Among the new items were a new grille and tail lamp design, restyled 18-inch alloy wheels and chrome strips at the corners of the front lower lip and side skirtings.

Other new items are electronic parking brake with auto hold function, suede trimmings on the dashboard and door armrests, steering wheel, centre arm rest and a redesigned centre air-conditione­r strip.

Other new safety featured are the blindspot monitoring system and rear cross traffic assist.

Optional items are the Mazda navigation system costing RM1,198 and Skytint safety tint priced at RM1,792.

The front wheel-drive compact sport utility vehicle with G-Vector Control is tentativel­y priced at RM121,134 (on-the-road without insurance and 0%-rated GST in Peninsular Malaysia for private registrati­on).

In Sabah and Sarawak, the CX-3 is similarly priced at RM123,788.

Other standard features include a 2.0-litre direct injection engine with 154bhp and 204Nm of torque, a six-speed Skyactiv Drive automatic transmissi­on with manual shift mode, six airbags, walk away lock, anti-lock braking system, dynamic stability control and reverse camera with guidelines.
