THE availability of technologies such as the present fourth generation (4G) and upcoming fifth (5G) will make AIMST University graduates “life and work” to go wireless.

This mean making the entire world communicate digitally with the advanced technology in wireless communication.

The Faculty of Engineering and Computer Technology (FECT) of AIMST University offers BEng (Hons) programme in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and diploma programme in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

A high-quality education is given through these programmes, enhancing the available science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) knowledge base in the nation.

The knowledge obtained in various fields such as medical instrumentation, biomedical engineering, robotics, artificial intelligence, satellite and mobile communications, radar and microwave design, optoelectronics and lasers, networking and computer sciences, embedded and advanced microprocessors will make them excel in their career path.

Moreover, an intensive industrial training for a duration of five months in companies such as Intel,

Motorola, Sony, Robert Bosch, Osram, Jabil Circuit, Flextronics, S&O Electronics, Plexus, Kontron and Smart Modular Technologies is offered for an extensive industrial exposure.

The current era engineers and engineering technicians should be able to excel in designing, manufacturing, installation and commissioning, maintenance skills and troubleshooting.

An AIMST engineer is a trained graduate with the above skills.

The exciting career opportunities for its engineers lie in the government sector as well as the private sector, which includes academic and research operations, technical services, project management and consultancies.

In the AIMST campus, students enjoy financial aid, counselling and support services besides the best accommodation, transportation and healthcare.

There is also much room for extracurricular activities with a gymnasium, swimming pool and sporting ground.

The duration for a degree programme is a minimum of four years while the diploma course is two-and-a-half years.
