Ghd has an award winning hair tool
IT is official, the ghd Gold Styler delivers sleeker, smoother and healthier hair, as proven by the brand’s recent win of the prestigious global Red Dot Award.
The Red Dot Award is a Product Design award that has roots dating back as far as 1955 and determines the best products created each year.
Products are submitted to be tested and assessed individually in the course of an evaluation process spanning several days. The new ghd gold styler, received the distinction “Red Dot” for high design quality.
In 2018, designers and manufacturers from 59 countries submitted more than 6,300 objects to the competition.
The Red Dot jury, formed by a panel of experts, awards the inter nationally recognised seal of quality only to products that win them over with their high design quality.
The strict judging criteria, which include level of innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics and durability, provide a frame of reference which the jurors then complement with their own expertise.
Ghd or good hair day, a British manufacturer of hair care products, sells 2,102,400 stylers every year.
In February 2018, the brand launched the new ghd gold styler. It features innovative dualzone technology for premium performance, an improved heat up time of only 25 seconds and a modernised design with a rounded barrel. It also has smooth, contoured floating plates for quick, snagfree styling and salon shine, plus automatic sleep mode.
