THE Subaru XV has a distinctive sporty design that incorporates the company’s new DYNAMIC x SOLID design philosophy. The exterior features Subaru’s iconic hexagonal grille with C-shaped headlights, matte black cladding on the front bumper and a new aluminium wheel design.

The new vehicle sits in a wide, low stance, underlining its rugged character. The Subaru XV has a combination of advanced styling and superior aerodynamics while retaining its high ground clearance of 220mm.

An eight-inch touchscreen infotainment display system offers integrated navigation and smartphone connectivity for Subaru XV drivers to stay connected safely.

The spacious design flow in the Subaru XV gives a sporty yet refined interior. In addition, functionalities such as all-round visibility, cabin space and cargo room have been improved.

The Subaru XV’s two-litre boxer engine has been revamped, making the new engine approximately 12kg lighter and equipped with direct injection to deliver more power and better fuel economy.

The Lineartronic CVT transmission is 7.8kg lighter than previous models and features auto-step shift control and sevenspeed manual mode function that enables the driver to have greater control.

In addition to Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel drive system, the Subaru XV now comes equipped with X-MODE, which enhances driving performance on challenging terrain through optimised integrated control of the engine, all-wheel drive system, brakes and other functions. The hill descent control setting gives drivers greater peace of mind by maintaining low speeds on downhill slopes.

The Subaru Global Platform has increased the Subaru XV’s rigidity throughout the body and chassis by more than 70% compared to previous models. This reduces vibrations and body roll, which gives you a quiet, smooth ride.

Besides that, the Subaru XV now has a quicker steering-gear ratio and lower centre of gravity, which endows drivers with highly responsive steering and straightline stability.

Subaru takes utmost pride in the safety of its vehicles. The Subaru XV recently won the Grand Prix Award in Japan New Car Assessment Program Collision Safety Performance Assessment with the highest score on record.

Passive safety in the Subaru XV has been improved thanks to the new Subaru Global Platform’s frame structure, with enhanced body strength resulting from increased use of high-tensile steel.

This enables improved energy absorption in the event of a collision by 40%, compared to present models. Seven SRS Airbags – front, side, curtain and knee – now come standard with both variants to provide peace of mind for you and your passengers wherever you may go.

The Subaru XV is available in two variants – 2.0i and 2.0i-P. The Subaru XV 2.0i variant is fitted with Steering Responsive Headlights, which allows headlight beams to move with the direction of steering, maximising safety and visibility in the dark.

Get your Subaru XV in one of six colours – Sunshine Orange, Dark Blue Pearl, Pure White, Ice Silver Metallic, Dark Grey Metallic and Crystal Black Silica. On-theroad prices start from RM112,138 without insurance.
