Alleviating joint pain and aches

-

OSTEOARTHRITIS patients often start following the glucosamine and chondroitin treatment course in the long journey of combating joint pain. It is suggested that taking glucosamine helps replenish this diminishing ingredient for cartilage regeneration.

Glucosamine and chondroitin have been used as the standard health supplement “treatment”, and are widely recommended by health professionals to alleviate joint pain and discomfort.

Glucosamine is a natural amino sugar produced by your body to form cartilage. It is also a dietary supplement marketed as an alternative treatment for osteoarthritis in many countries.

There are medical reports (even controversial ones) that show possible benefits of glucosamine and chondroitin in helping people with osteoarthritis.

When you’re not getting satisfactory results

The clinical dosage used for glucosamine and chondroitin is high, about 1,500mg of glucosamine and 1,200mg of chondroitin a day, to be taken continuously for at least eight weeks, before one can feel its effects.

As a result, many do not see the desired outcome when using Glucosamine and Chondroitin supplement simply because of the dosage compliance – it is difficult to remember to take two to three huge tablets daily – and because of the slow onset of action.

Most people switch from one glucosamine and chondroitin to another, hoping for better results and relief.

Step up to a better joint formula

Recent studies show that a unique patented ingredient made from undenatured type II collagen derived from chicken sternum cartilage called UC-II worked better than glucosamine and chondroitin to reduce joint pain – improving joint health, flexibility and mobility.

In a multicentre, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study, a total of 186 subjects with osteoarthritis of the knee took either 40mg of UC-II, a combination of 1,500mg of glucosamine and 1,200mg of chondroitin or placebo for 180 days.

UC-II showed to significantly improve joint functions, mobility and flexibility compared to the placebo using three different assessment tools: Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC), Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Lequesne functional index.

UC-II significantly reduced overall WOMAC score at 180 days, compared to placebo and compared to glucosamine and chondroitin, showing that UC-II worked better in improving joint functions and movements, as well as relieving joint pain.

In conclusion, UC-II is a newfound, patented natural ingredient that provides a convenient dosing of once a day, works faster to provide pain relief and joint improvement effects in 60 days.

UC-II also has other advantages compared to glucosamine and chondroitin, as it does not contain shellfish and is safe for diabetic patients.

Unique way of rebuilding joints

Daily wear and tear of the joints leads to the breakdown of joint cartilage, which develops into joint pain and inflammation.

UC-II is an undenatured collagen type II derived from chicken sternum cartilage that modulates the body’s immune responses to rebuild new collagen and reduce joint inflammations. As the destructive cycle subsides, the imbalance of cartilage turnover shifts in favour of normal cartilage rebuilding.

UC-II’s small once-a-day dosage is shown to be effective in multiple published studies – 40mg daily in a tiny capsule for easier consumption and improved compliance.
