To err is human

- Star2@thestar.com.my

I loved the piece by Sandy Clarke, “Live in love, not fear”, Star2 ,Nov4.

I thank Father Paul for his advice. He says it right in that we should stop beating ourselves up. Anyone can make mistake.

Begin to understand ourselves. Love ourselves for the loving God does not punish us for our mistakes. He forgives. To me, God is forgiving. He is your maker, why would he trouble or harm you?

He does not punish you, and so you should stop punishing yourself. It isn’t worth it.

As I see it, we too make bad decisions many times. Yes, bad decision can occur. We are infallible human beings. We make mistakes. Anyone can fall into it this trap!

But a person living with guilt must be aware of it before he can resolve his issues. The following can be helpful: ask for forgiveness.

In my humble view, if you mess up, there is a way out .... ask for forgiveness and keep moving forward.

Making mistakes is human, and we shouldn’t block ourselves from moving forward. Let us be truly sorry and try to not let any bad decisions or mistakes interrupt the course of our lives.

As I see it, if it’s within your power, try to repair the damage you have caused.

Even if they don’t forgive you, even if they don’t believe you, change for the good and don’t ever do it again.
