APART from being forgetful in your daily routine such as where you placed your keys or not able to recall the name of an acquaintance, do you experience brain fog with symptoms such as lack of mental clarity, unable to focus and feeling mentally exhausted easily compared to the past?

All these are due to the decline in brain energy and brain power and heralds a time to start taking care of the most important organ that masterminds your body and life – your brain.

The brain remains turned on all the time, even during sleep. But when the brain ages, neurons or nerve cells – the mind’s information highways – develop cracks and potholes, causing a thought to be less reliable or slower, and actions that need coordination becoming less precise.

An old brain has a slower response rate and processing speed. Also, the brain has chemicals that travel between the neurons or nerve cells to pass messages called neurotransmitters, and take the form in our thoughts and feelings.

As the brain starts to age, neurotransmitter imbalances occur, which slow down communication between the brain’s neurons.

This explains why an old brain has difficulty deciphering what it sees or hears, it has trouble controlling feelings and develops mood disorder such as depression or anxiety. It constantly could not focus and remember things compared to a young brain.

The brain hits its peak performance at the age of 30 and will start to deteriorate slowly after that with significant changes setting in later in life. University College London researchers found a 3.6% decline in mental reasoning in women and men aged 45-49 and the brain starts to shrink slowly in volume by 60 years of age.

Signs and symptoms of declining cognitive functions include:

• easily forgetting names, places and incidences

• difficulty in recalling names

• feeling brain haze

• lack of focus

• brain exhaustion.

SAM-e, also known as S-adenosyl-L Methionine, is a natural molecule produced in the body. It is an important component to facilitate the unique but natural process in the body called “Methylation”.

This critical process is involved in more than 100 biochemical pathways in the human body such as synthesising hormones, enzymes and other protein chemicals such as the neurotransmitters in the brain and more.

SAM-e helps to keep the brain balanced, energised and protected from many brain disorders such as dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and other brain-related diseases.

But in its native form, SAM-e is labile and degrades rapidly at room temperature.

Gnosis, a pharmaceutical company from Italy, managed to address this issue and successfully developed a commercially stable SAM-e, called Adonat – produced from extracting selected highly productive yeasts using a patented fermentation technology, generating superior quality SAM-e.

Adonat contains the highest potency of active SAM-e which allows it to deliver maximum health benefits and is supported by more than 83 human clinical trials worldwide. It has also been clinically proven to be effective in improving brain health.

Ask your pharmacist today about SAM-e by Adonat and start to regain the power in your brain, plus other health benefits.
