Joys of the season
CHILDREN love Christmas for the festivities, carols and gifts. Many readers were eager to share their drawings on the topic.
Siti Safiyyah Tay, 12, wishes Merry Christmas to all her friends who celebrate Christmas. “Let us live in peace and harmony as we celebrate Christmas and welcome the new year.”
Siti Latifah Tay, 10, says: “I love to eat gingerbread cookies on Christmas Day. Merry Christmas dear friends.”

Aaron Aditya Surenthran, nine, says: “I like Christmas because it’s fun and I get to celebrate it with my parents and relatives. During the Christmas week, I get to play with my cousins and eat my grandma’s lovely food.”
Younger sibling Emelia Chandrani Surenthan, seven, writes: “I love to decorate the Christmas tree and wrap up presents with Mummy and Daddy.”
Nine-year-old Erin Sonia Colin writes: “Christmas is all about the spirit of giving. Let’s enjoy the season with loved ones.” ITEM: Balloons come in various shapes, colours and sizes. Draw a picture of a balloon that you fancy. It can be cartoon-themed balloons, animal-shaped ones or the plain round ones in different colours.
