SINGAPORE’S 2019 calendar is filled with possibilit­ies for visitors of all passions. Whether you’re a foodie, explorer, culture shaper, action seeker, socialiser or collector, there is an exciting and diverse line-up of activities to enjoy with those who share your passions.

Among the highlights are notable internatio­nal events such as The World’s 50 Best Restaurant­s awards, which will be held in Asia for the first time, the return of the most anticipate­d circus act Cirque du Soleil with a new show – Kurios, new edition of the visually arresting Rainforest Lumina at the Singapore Zoo, Disney events featuring Pixar as part of the third year of partnershi­p with the Singapore Tourism Board and art events such as the Singapore Biennale and the inaugural SouthEast Asia (SEA) Focus and the Singapore Bicentenni­al celebratio­ns featuring a slew of events such as the Fort Canning Park experienti­al showcase through the year to commemorat­e Singapore’s 200 years of history.

Adding to the calendar of exciting events are two grand retail project launches including Design Orchard – a one-stop retail destinatio­n where collectors can seek out exceptiona­l and exclusive locally designed goods all under one roof; the highly anticipate­d Jewel Changi Airport (opening end March), which is set to be an iconic lifestyle venue that boasts world-class attraction­s and all-rounded shopping and dining experience.

Culture shapers can discover their inner creativity as 2019 kicks off with Singapore Art Week (SAW). Art takes over the beautiful city for nine days in January, transformi­ng it into a veritable gallery with exhibition­s, art trails, talks, art fairs and large-scale art projection­s. Presented as part of the seventh edition of SAW are the inaugural S.E.A. Focus boutique art fair and the Frieze Academy Series. Action seekers from around the world are expected to flock to Grand Prix Season Singapore, as the iconic 2019 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix makes its 12th appearance in September.

The 2019 roster includes a calendar of world-class sporting action for the action seekers such as the HSBC Women’s Champions Singapore, HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens, Ultimate Fighting Championsh­ip (UFC) Fight Night Singapore and Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon.
