SERI Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur’s buffet iftar has always been an attraction for city folks and urbanites because of its variety of food.

Many people from Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei and even Singapore come to get a taste, which prompted the hotel to ensure their buffet spread laid out every year is of much awaited traditiona­l food.

With the theme Sajian Tradisi Zaman ke Zaman, the buffet spread this year features traditiona­l food representi­ng the diverse cultures of Malaysia.

The variety of food also represents the diversity in Malaysia.

This time around, the buffet will be taking place at Level 4 and spread out to the swimming pool area as well as the Zende restaurant located at the lobby.

Some of the food include Asam Pedas Ikan Pari Melaka, Daging Rendang Tok Gajah Perak, Labu Masak Lemak Putih Kedah, Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak Temerloh Pahang, Kailan Tahu Sos Telor Wilayah, Sotong Sumbat Pulut Terengganu, Manok Pansoh Sarawak, Umai Ikan Merah Sabah and more. There is also more than 100 delicacies on rotation to ensure variation for loyal patrons.

The hotel’s yearly must-try signature menu also includes Sup Gear Box Power, Sup Ekor, Kambing Bakar, Murtabak, Briyani Gam Muar, Bubur Lambuk and Kueh Teow Goreng which have received many favourable reviews.

There will also be sushi, Okonomiyak­i (Japanese pancake), pizza, pasta and Nasi Daun Pisang Chennai.

As for traditiona­l appetisers, it is also based on the diverse cultures of Malaysia.

Those with a sweet tooth can soothe their palate with a variation of kuih-muih, jelly, assortment­s of cakes, ais kacang, ice cream and also a selection of fruits.

Specially curated by a team of qualified chefs, chef Saad has over 20 years of working experience at Seri Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

The buffet price is RM120 nett for adults and RM60 for children (between five and 12). Besides that, in the spirit of giving back to society, with every purchase of a voucher, RM1 will be donated towards the Hari Raya celebratio­n fun for orphans.
