New Macan arrives
SIME Darby Auto Performance has launched the latest Porsche Macan sports utility vehicle (SUV), priced from RM455,000 and covered by a four-year warranty with free maintenance package.
Additionally, it is available under the 360 Finance calculator with monthly repayments starting from RM5,700.
Also, this mid-sized German luxury SUV is available in four colours of Mamba Green Metallic (seen here), Dolomite Silver Metallic, Miami Blue and Crayon Red.
To further enhance the Macan is a newly designed front end to make it appear wider while a Premium Package adds on the luxury look and feel with the standard 14-way powered front seats (memory function).
It also adds on the Comfort Lighting package (full-LED bulbs), Power Steering Plus (speed-sensitive electromechanical power steering system), Park Assist (auto-parking function) with reverse camera, electrochromic mirrors and a Bose Surround sound system.
Powering the Macan is a 2.0litre (1,984cc) turbocharged engine with 252hp and 370Nm of torque for a 0-100kph sprint in 6.7 seconds.
Transmission is a seven-speed PorscheDoppelkupplungsgetriebe (Porsche dual-clutch gearbox).
Equipping the new
Macan is its newly designed three-dimension rear LED light panel, LED headlights, and fully interconnected Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with a 10.9-inch touchscreen which is 3.7-inches
wider than previously.
A Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus that distributes light adaptively is available as an added cost option.
As in the Panamera and Cayenne, the PCM’s user interface can be adapted to suit personal requirements via predefined tiles that are fully interconnected as standard with mobile phone preparation, dual-audio interfaces and intelligent voice control.
Porsche says that the Macan’s chassis has been overhauled to increasecomfortwhilerollingon standard 18-inch wheels with staggered tyres.
Wheel options go up to 21-inches fitted with 265/40 front and 295/35 rear tyres.
Expanding the range of equipment for the new Macan (as an added cost option) are the GT sports steering wheel (much like in the 911), mode switch integrated into the steering wheel with sport response button (part of the optional Sports Chrono package), heated windshield and an air ioniser (with standard fine particle air filter) to name a few.
