Creative students bag prize

AFTER a long, amazing campus roadshow spanning three months visiting over 18 universiti­es all over Malaysia and engaging with students, the winners for Huawei Nova 3/3i Apprentice Programme have been chosen.

Management & Science University (MSU) has been announced as the first runner-up and bagged RM10,000 cash prize.

MSU was represente­d by Amirul Hakimi Nurul Azam, Muhammad Malik Fahd Ahmad Faizal and Muralithev­an Selvatheva­n from the Bachelor in Psychology with Marketing programme offered by the Faculty of Business Management and Profession­al Studies.

The prize-giving ceremony took place on campus recently and was attended by PC.com managing director Selva Rajan who represente­d Huawei Malaysia.

Organised by Huawei Malaysia in collaborat­ion with PC.com, the competitio­n was in search of fresh, creative ideas and young talents among varsity students in the country where participan­ts are required to produce and submit the most concrete business plan and video presentati­on.

At MSU, students are strongly encouraged to take part in these kinds of programmes to sharpen their skills and competenci­es and shape them to become well-rounded graduates in the future.

MSU, in its first ever inclusion in the Quacquarel­li Symonds (QS) World University Rankings (WUR) list made it among the top 541 to 550 globally ranked institutio­ns of higher learning.

This global ranking positioned the university among 51% of the one thousand global universiti­es ranked by QS in its 2020 edition.

The university has before being ranked 271st through QS Asia Ranking 2019, a top two per cent grouping of the 11,900 universiti­es spread over this vast region.
