Kick-start your music career
THE road to a successful music career is usually filled with obstacles, but the most passionate and hard-working will persevere to see a fruitful revelation of fulfilment both in career and life.
ICOM prepares students for the music industry of the 21st century by helping them develop independent and critical thinking skills.
There are two things that set ICOM apart from other colleges and universities offering music degree programmes.
First, the degrees are internationally recognised. The branding of Berklee, ICOM and University of Wolverhampton opens doors to professional music jobs globally, and also paves a smooth pathway to international graduate and postgraduate degrees.
Second, the academic rigor of the famed ICOM education experience challenges students to achieve their full potential. ICOM has students from across Malaysia and over 20 countries including Australia, Russia, South Korea and Yemen, and this diversity of musical talents and styles add to the ICOM education experience.
ICOM offers Bachelor of Music (Hons) Professional Music, Diploma in Sound Production and Diploma in Business – Music Industry programmes. Being at the forefront of musical excellence, ICOM’s programmes are developed in consultation with music industry experts and educationists to ensure every module meets the demands of professional employment in the music industry.
Each programme is taught by industry professionals and qualified lecturers. Every ICOM graduate is trained for immediate employment in either studio and live sound recording or in concert management, artist management, music copyright and licensing, public relations and communications and performing artist, just to name a few.
