MANAGEMENT and Science University (MSU) recently welcomed students from the International University of Health and Welfare (IUHW) Japan to the MSU Summer Programme.

Hosted by MSU’s Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (FHLS), the IUHW students received an introduction to the Malaysian healthcare and welfare system.

They were taken on a tour of the MSU main campus in Section 13, Shah Alam, as well as the MSU Medical Centre. They also visited a specialist centre in Kuala Lumpur.

The hospital round was made more interesting with a visit to the Orang Asli Hospital and Museum in Gombak, Kuala Lumpur. Indigenous people make up one of the focus groups across MSU’s community engagement initiatives worldwide.

The IUHW students also visited autistic children whose welfare is represented by the National Autism Society of Malaysia. The students observed how lessons were conducted for special needs children aged five to 13.

Back in Shah Alam, the students visited the resplendent Blue Mosque. On campus, they joined FHLS classes on Psychology and Behavioural Science as well as Forensic Entomology.

A high point of their campus activities was a special treat for the senses as they were introduced to a variety of Malaysian fruits and foods.
